Occup Therapist II

Occupational Therapists work as integral members of an interdisciplinary care teams.Representative
responsibilities include assessment and consultation, enhancing optimal client function, collaboration and cooperation with other providers to ensure a continuum of service, and development of
effective partnerships. This position will involve program planning, program development, and the provision of education inservices.

Employee Class: Regular Full Time
Rates of Pay: Minimum: 33.09 per hour   Maximum: 43.96 per hour
Qualifications:
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognized institution required.
- Licensed to practice in Alberta through the Alberta College of Occupational Therapists required.
- Post graduate course pertaining to Occupational Therapy desired.
- Membership in Canadian Association of Occupational Therapy ( CAOT) desired.
- Previous employment as an Occupational Therapist desired.
- Supervisory training and or experience.
- Work in a team environment under flexible demands and maintain good interpersonal relationships with the client, families and other care providers.
- Is aware of proper body mechanics in transferring and moving patients and equipment.
- Demonstrates sound professional judgment.
- Holds valid drivers license and access to a vehicle required.
- Ability to show initiative required.
- CPR required.
- Organize duties and time effectively required.
- AADL Authorizer status desired.
- Experience in rural environment desired.
Please note this position is located outside of the Calgary city limits in Strathmore. (45km east of Calgary)
