Resp Therapist II

Reporting to the Rehabilitation Manager, the Respiratory Therapist is responsible for department operation, implementation and evaluation of respiratory
services. They are an integral part of the interdisciplinary team, and supports health promotion and prevention. Performs clinical and technical duties, and enhances respiratory services in the area.
Provides services to Acute Care, Long Term Care, Home Care and Living Well Chronic Disease programming.

Rates of Pay: Minimum: 32.98 per hour   Maximum: 42.53 per hour
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of the CARTA or CSRT certification examination or recognized equivalent.
- Certified Respiratory Educator designation preferred.
- Certified Asthma Educator required (or in process of obtaining).
- Certified COPD Educator required (or in process of obtaining).
- Five years experience required.
- Very good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Client service approach.
- Infection Control and aseptic technique an asset.
- Good teaching and supervisory skills required.
- Must be able to work under pressure, meet peak periods and be flexible and well organized.
- Participate in ongoing continuing education and credentialing.
- Hold a valid drivers license and have access to good working vehicle. Use of personal vehicle to travel as required.
- Previous experience and familiarity with rural environment required.
