Medical - Management and Business ProfessionalThe Human Resources Advisor II, Compensation is a full working level professional human resources position that is primarily responsible for providing Compensation support and expertise to a
defined Human Resources Services portfolio as well as supports the implementation of various compensation programs and initiatives within Alberta Health Services.
This position will work with a team of Compensation Advisors and will provide analytical, research, and consultative support to Human Resources Services within their defined portfolio and will be
responsible for assisting with the development, documentation, implementation and maintenance of new and existing compensation programs and processes, including:
- Providing advise and direction with respect to policies, programs, standards and procedures
- Developing and participating in education and communication programs
- Participating in third party surveys, conducting custom survey research as well as market data analysis and recommendation for out of scope and in scope positions
- Coordinating and implementing various compensation initiatives
- Developing recommendations where established policies are not clear or do not exist
- Consulting with client groups and collaborating with management to proactively identify organizational challenges and issues
- Providing support for Executive compensation requests, programs and initiatives.
The Human Resources Advisor II, Compensation also supports other internal and external stakeholders to achieve identified strategic objectives and priorities utilizing compensation tools and
resources.
Location of this position is flexible and can be located in Calgary or Edmonton.

Rates of Pay: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience
Qualifications:
- Minimum of a related post-secondary degree in human resources, business administration or related area
- CHRP or other recognized designation is preferred
- Minimum of 2 years in a human resources role ideally in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity (health care experience an asset)
- Demonstrated professional and personal development
