Registered Nurse

This position involves educational and clinical components related to infusion therapies, invasive procedures with conscious sedation, and recovery from
interventional radiological procedures. Activities include primary care of chronically ill adults who are outpatients.
The RN has three domains of practice:
1. Independent domain the RN plans, implements and evaluates care within the unique knowledge and skills of nursing practice.
2. Interdependent domain the RN works in collaboration with the health care team to coordinate care, to contribute to the multidisciplinary plan of care, and to evaluate the outcomes of care.
3. Physician related domain the RN implements interventions directed by the physician and evaluates the effectiveness of these interventions. Ongoing assessment is communicated to the physician
contributing to the medical plan of care.

Rates of Pay: Minimum: 32.34 per hour   Maximum: 42.45 per hour
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support qualification current within 15 months is mandatory.
- Current active CARNA registration is mandatory.
- Baccalaureate nursing degree is preferred.
- 3 to 5 Years of current acute care medical/surgical clinical experience.
- Demonstrated strength in providing evidence based care in all stages of health and complexities of illness, in unpredictable, emergent and chronic illness situations, including critical assessment,
intervention and evaluation of care outcomes.
- Demonstrated excellence in initiating, maintaining and in decision making related to venous access, including advanced competency in management of central venous access catheters.
- Experience and expertise in adult teaching and learning
