Medical - Registered Nurse / Registered Psychiatric Nurse

Reporting to the Manager, the Mental Health Clinician is a member of a regional multidisciplinary outreach team that is comprised of nurses, social
workers, occupational therapists and psychologists who function together to providing access and community support to our clients. All Community Extension Team (CET) members share a common approach
to providing continuity of care while also contributing unique discipline specific competencies to ensure a holistic approach to service delivery.
You will provide supportive outreach services for clients discharged from one service and who are awaiting continuation of required services from a new program. The Mental Health Clinician's role is
highly independent and work will include facilitating case planning, treatment support and assistance with activities of daily living while ensuring a collaborative approach to clients, team members,
mental health services and other health services.

Employee Class: Regular Part Time
Rates of Pay: Minimum: 33.20 per hour   Maximum: 44.16 per hour
Qualifications:
- Degree in Social Work (Master s preferred), Psychology (Master s preferred), Occupational Therapy, RN/RPN (BN or BScN preferred).
- Current registration with the appropriate licensing college is required.
- 3 - 5 years experience in the field of mental health is required. Experience in a community outreach mental health setting preferred.
- Experience with diverse mental health problems, and with the provision of a full range of service along a continuum of care from prevention and promotion to treatment and specialized care.
- Knowledge of the mental health system and resources within the Calgary Zone required.
- Excellent consultation, communication and documentation skills required.
- Strong assessment and intervention skills required.
- Demonstrated ability to work confidently, independently and within collaborative partnerships is essential.
- Computer skills required including working knowledge of Windows, Netscape and email.
- Valid Alberta driver s license and use of own vehicle required as extensive travel within the Region is expected

$44.16/per hour
