Buyer - Contracts

Under minimal supervision, is responsible for creating and negotiating contracts, as well as ensuring compliance of contract terms and conditions
within  assigned commodity groups.

Rates of Pay: Minimum: 29.27 per hour   Maximum: 35.33 per hour
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 required.
- Completion of PMAC Level 2 or equivalent required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel is required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Adobe Acrobat preferred.
- Business diploma or degree preferred.
- Course work in management/cost accounting desirable.
- Minimum 30 WPM typing and 10,000 keystrokes per hour required.
- Experience in hospital, inventory control, shipping, and receiving is preferred.
- Supply Chain Management experience preferred.
- Oracle PO and DynaMed inventory experience desirable.
- Experience in public competitive bid process is preferred.
- Three to five years purchasing experience required.
- Experience in competitive bid process, negotiating, and contracting experience required with medical commodities.
- Ability to communicate in English clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing, with all levels of staff, management, and vendors is required.
- Must be dependable, thorough and accurate.
- Equivalent Combination of Education and Experience may be considered.
- Access to a motor vehicle for travel within the region required
