Medical - Patient Care Support

This is an opportunity to join a new team and participate in the opening of a Transition Unit at the Peter Lougheed Centre. The patient population of this unit will be those
individuals waiting for a bed within an alternate level of care facility. The patients located on this unit will predominantly be seniors.
This individual is responsible for direct patient care under the direction of the RN or LPN. Responsible for performing tasks related to activities of daily
living, comfort and safety of the patient, and provides indirect services to support the overall provision of care in their assigned area.

Employee Class: Regular Full Time
Rates of Pay: Minimum: 17.09 per hour Maximum: 20.79 per hour
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Certified PCA/NA course or equivalent experience
- Certification in Basic Life Support - CPR
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Self directed and motivated
- Basic computer skills an asset
- Experience working with seniors and the cognitively impaired is preferred
- Ability to work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team is essentia

$20.79/per hour
