Unit Manager-infectious Disease And Musculoskeletal Outpatient

Department: ACH Emergency, Infectiouse Disease and MSK Outpatient Clincs.
The Unit Manager, ACH Emergency, Infectious Disease and Musculoskeletal Outpatient Clinics, performs primary leadership role in ID and MSK Outpatient Clinics and reports directly to the Manager of
Emergency, ID and MSK Outpatient Clinics. This position is responsible and accountable for providing the direction, team leadership and organization over the activities of the ID and MSK Outpatient
Clinics in support of the vision, mission and business plan of Alberta Health Services. The position is responsible and accountable for making unit level decisions and having direct leadership
responsibility for contributing to the achievement of the goals of the unit.
The Unit Manager will develop and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders.

Rates of Pay: Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience
Qualifications:
- Graduate of a recognized program with a Baccalaureate degree in Nursing.
- Current CARNA registration.
- Fast paced crisis intervention background.
- Other professional education and designations as required.
- Minimum five (5) years progressive experience with the health care industry with a focus on management, supervision and program planning.
- Track record of progressive management experience, demonstrating innovation leadership in a dynamic, multidisciplinary team environment.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in strategic planning, operations management, human resources management, and financial management.
- Good computer skills essential, including working knowledge of the MS Office applications and Internet email/Web applications.
- Project Management skills desirable.
