Solicitor III

This fast-paced government agency requires an intermediate lawyer with litigation experience to work in its Calgary litigation department. Reporting to
the Associate General Counsel, Litigation, Employment and Regulatory, the successful candidate will provide legal advice and expertise on a diverse range of issues to staff at all levels of the
organization, and must have the judgment and experience to balance the organization's needs with its risk exposure. This position will work routinely with external legal counsel to manage litigation
and to protect the organization's interests in other types of tribunals and hearings.  The organization is seeking an energetic and resourceful candidate with 5 to 8 years of litigation experience,
preferably in the insurance defence area.  This is a contract position for up to one year with the potential for renewal.This is a rare opportunity to move to an in-house litigation and regulatory
