Medical - Patient Care Support- Orientates, train and evaluates Surgical Processors to instrument sets, supply locations and handling processes and procedures.
- Responsible for organizing training and inservicing for the Surgical Processors and Positioning Aides.
- Responsible for setting up and assessing staff for yearly competencies.
- Ensures staff follows pre-established manuals, routines, procedures for case cart completion, supply management, and sterile processes.
- Carries out performance appraisals, as well as performance management/termination issues in conjunction with the PCM and APCM for the Surgical Processors and Positioning Aides.
- Responsible for schedules and approving requests for Surgical Processors and Positioning Aides.
- Communicates with SSAC warehouse/buyers to maintain appropriate stock levels in an organized environment.
- Assists with additions, deletions, standardization of supplies in the core.
- Updates supply/instrument manuals and reference materials.
- To be involved in inventory and assist in creating and updating stock supply lists and locations.

Qualifications:
- 3-4 years experience in Central Processing or with surgical instrument care, sterilizing and handling. May be a Surgical Processor, LPN, ORT, RN.
- Sterilization certificate required.
- Experience with supply management is an asset.
- Previous supervisory experience is advantageous
