Medical - Clerical and AdministrativeWorking under the general direction of the area supervisor, the Imaging Records Clerk performs clerical duties in the Imaging Record Department and adjacent areas as
well as providing support to Imaging reception/booking areas as required. The individual works with varying information systems to maintain electronic patient files, merging duplicate files,
searching patient information etc. In addition the individual will scan paper documents, upload external images and films in to the departmental PACS system. The individual also assists with
Diagnostic Imaging result distribution and verification of exam completion. All of this supports the timeliness of result distribution, data integrity and patient care.

Rates of Pay: Minimum: 19.96 per hour Maximum: 23.19 per hour
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 Diploma required.
- Successful completion of Medical Terminology course required.
- Recognized clerical/business course desired.
- Recent Diagnostic Imaging experience desired.
- Minimum 3 months recent experience in a hospital or medical environment, involved in booking, reception and clerical duties desired.
- Demonstrated basic PC and keyboarding skills required.
- Demonstrated well developed interpersonal and communication skills required.
- Demonstrated good telephone manner required.
- Demonstrated legible handwriting required.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and confidentiality required.
- Demonstrated ability to work with continual interruptions required.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a demanding environment and to perform several tasks simultaneously required.
- Demonstrated knowledge of hospital policies and procedures (Prep Manual, Emergency Response Manual) required.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively in English required
