Under general direction of the Director, assesses administrative practices and technological systems for compliance with legislation and professional standards. Works with departments, managers and
information technology managers to prepare education & training sessions. Conducts information security audits and privacy breach investigations as directed.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Supports compliance with Provincial privacy legislation, professional standards and AHS policy within departments by providing advisory services, training and education, investigations and audits
(70%).
2. Assists in development of management systems to ensure integrity and security of AHS records in compliance with industry standards and ensures maintenance of such systems 10%).
3. Assists in the development of policies and procedures (10%).
4. Performs other related duties as required (10%).

Qualifications:
Education:
- Degree in information science (archives, library or information technology) or equivalent education and experience
Experience:
- Information Management experience, preferably in health services environment
- Computer systems, databases, work-processing and internet
- Project Management experience
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Superior communication and organization skills and ability to work as part of a team.
- Extensive knowledge of automated systems and technology applications
- Knowledge of information privacy principles and legislation (e.g. FOIPP and HIA)
- Knowledge of archives and records management principles and procedures
- Knowledge of health information and service functions and issues a definite asset

practices compliant with legislation, standards and policy.
