Medical - Patient Care Support

A nursing attendant assists in the provision of direct patient care under the direction of the RN/LPN. Responsible for performing tasks related to
activities of daily living, comfort and safety of the patient, and provides indirect services to support the overall provision of care in their assigned area. This is an exciting and challenging
opportunity to provide quality patient care on a transition unit for cognitively impaired patients waiting for long term care. 
Potential future opportunity for advanced scope of practice is under development.
Employees will be assigned to work on both areas of transition unit.

Location: Rockyview General Hospital
Employee Class: Regular Part Time
Rates of Pay: Minimum: 17.09 per hour   Maximum: 20.79 per hour
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Certified PCA/NA course or equivalent experience.
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills
- CPR certified
- Self directed and motivated.
- Basic computer skills an asset
- Experience working with seniors and the cognitively impaired is preferred
- Demonstrates a caring attitude towards geriatric patients
- Able to work collaboratively with team members is essentia

$20.79/per hour
