Medical - Therapist and Therapy AssistantUnder minimal supervision, the Clinical Leader oversees various members of the Allied Health interdisciplinary team. They provide day to day
scheduling, follow up on clinical issues, direction for the team and input into decision making across Allied Health. This role currently includes (.6 FTE) of and Occupational Therapist caseload
amongst the medicine and surgical teams. They are responsible for the role modeling and provision of patient care within Occupational Therapy professional practice and code of ethics. The position
also involves supervision of students and interaction with support staff, participation in program development and evaluation, professional education and research. Allied Health disciplines,
Therapist Assistants and Therapy Aides are also informally supervised by this role.

Rates of Pay: Minimum: 34.58 per hour Maximum: 45.94 per hour
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Occupational Therapy, though other allied health professions may also be considered. ( such as SLPs or Rec Therapists)
- Current enrollment in management courses is expected.
- Demonstrated conflict management and team building skills required.
- Must have active registration with AAROT or similiar professional group.
- Recent clinical leadership experience at RGH or simlilar metropolitan hospital would be an asset.
- Must have recent acute care experience.
- Eligibility for membership with the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists (current role requires .6 FTE of OT direct patient therapy) or equivalent professional organization required of
other allied health discipline
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills required.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary team environment.
- Must have basic computer skills.
- Must have current CPR certification.
- Ability to manage change, adopt and implement new processes and flexible attitude and outlook required, to meet the needs of Allied Health
