Registered Nurse

The ICU Outreach Team Registered Nurse (RN) will work as a member of the unit and collaborate with staff to assist in caring for critically ill patient
with multi-system failure.  This RN will respond to all Outreach (Code 66) and Code Blue calls as well as coordinate Outreach activities during their shift. The ICU Outreach RN will participate in
continuing education measures specific to the ICU Outreach Program, coordinate discharges and follow-up with Outreach and post code blue patients remaining on patient care units.  In collaborate with
the Regional Coordinator this RN will be responsible for participating in the development, implementation and evaluation of the program. The ICU Outreach RN will coordinate discharges, assessments
and follow-up to identified patient populations.

Rates of Pay: Minimum: 32.34 per hour   Maximum: 42.45 per hour
Qualifications:
- Current CARNA registration required.
- BCLS certification required.
- Minimum 5 years ICU experience required.
- 1-2 years recent medical/surgical and/or cardiovascular experience required.
- ACCN/ACLS an asset.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to cope well under stress.
- Basic computer skills an asset.
- Experience in quality improvement methodology an asset.
- Experience in program development and evaluation as asset.
- Experience in managing change process required.
- Experience in team building as asset.
- Strong communication, interpersonal and team leadership skills required.
- Critical thinking and effective decision making skills.
- Computer skills in word processing, email, internet access, database management an asset.
- Ability to lead during crisis and cope well under stress.
