Medical - Therapist and Therapy AssistantThe Foothills Medical Centre is an Acute Care hospital with over 900 beds. It is also the Trauma Centre for Southern Alberta, Eastern British Columbia
and Western Saskatchewan. FMC has a Neuro Tertiary Unit as well as the majority of In Patient Neurological services in Calgary.
The Allied Health Department works collaboratively with all the clinical teams spread across the whole campus of the Foothills Medical Centre, including the upcoming opening of the new McCaig Tower
which will house state of the art ICU and Operating Rooms.
All staff hired into the Allied Health Department may be required to work in a variety of settings across the Campus.
Under general supervision, the Clinical Leader ensures that the level of clinical practice on the assigned clinical service area is evidence based and meets clinical standards of practice. The
Clinical Leader is involved in the provision of patient care, general supervision of professional and support staff, orientation of new staff and students to the Medicine Rehab services, staff
development, initiation and participation in performance appraisals for the staff on the service, program evaluation and development.
This position is physically demanding and requires repetitive lifting and transferring of patients and or equipment.

Rates of Pay: Minimum: 34.58 per hour Maximum: 45.94 per hour
Qualifications:
- Bachelor or Master's level degree in Physical Therapy or equivalent.
- Active license with CPTA.
- CPR required - BLS for Health Care Providers Level C.
- Recent experience providing physiotherapy interventions to patients in an acute hospital setting preferred.
- Effective self management skills and demonstrated initiative.
- Able to work effectively in an interdisciplinary environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills required
