Medical - Clerical and Administrative

Under limited supervision, the Unit Clerk is responsible for transcribing physician's orders and performing clerical receptionist duties for the nursing
unit. The Unit Clerk is instrumental in facilitating communication between nursing and other health disciplines, departments, patients and families and in maintaining confidentiality of patient
information. The position is a major asset to the smooth and efficient operation of the nursing unit.

Rates of Pay: Minimum: 21.63 per hour   Maximum: 24.91 per hour
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 required.
- Completion of a recognized Unit Clerk Program or equivalent.
- Recent experience on Labour & Delivery preferred.
- Fluent English and working knowledge of Medical Terminology is required.
- Previous hospital experience required.
- Experience on Critical Care area/high stress area essential.
- Must be mature and able to work with minimal supervision and multiple distractions.
- Organized and able to prioritize in stressful situations essential.
- Excellent communication skills essential.
- Needs to be proficient in Word and Excel

$24.91/per hour
