Medical - Clinical Manager, Educator and SpecialistReporting to the AHS Provincial Manager, Clinical Telehealth, Southern Alberta, the Clinical Facilitator, FMC site, is the primary interface with the
patient/family, and respective health disciplines involved with the patient and family, in developing and implementing various telehealth applications. The position is responsible for coordinating,
facilitating, implementing and communicating the change management processes for the adoption of telehealth as a tool to support clinical care at a distance. The Clinical Facilitator is sensitive to
the AHS organizational climate and structure, and liaises with appropriate individuals to promote effective change management.
This position will extensively interact with a diversity of AHS internal departments and facility operational leads, providing clinical program development expertise, in an autonomous and independent
fashion. The facilitator will provide guidance to end users, ensuring that telehealth opportunities are identified, existing linkages are strengthened, partnerships are supported and the integration
of technology into mainstream clinical service delivery is achieved. The Clinical Facilitator recognizes the strengths of staff and colleagues within the provincial structure and the contributions
they bring to the workplace, and reinforces a collaborative team approach to overall Telehealth service development. The Facilitator assesses, plans, implements, evaluates all aspects of service
design, including telehealth process mapping and flow, reinforcing clinical telehealth polices and procedures and quality assurance practices. Service area to support patient access is across and
within southern Alberta zones and borders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates the gradual integration of technology into clinical care delivery, recognizing risks and barriers to uptake; is solution oriented in creating early/easy
win opportunities for clinical end users to use and sustain technology in their program areas.
- Provides frontline, local leadership and consultation to end users to ensure that telehealth opportunities are aligned with program portfolio strategy as well as Provincial AHS/ IT Telehealth
strategy, and the directives from the Provincial Clinical Telehealth Advisory Committee.
- Provides required training and mentorship to clinicians and other users to ensure Telehealth applications (at all participating sites) are integrated and sustained within existing service flow,
according to best practices.
- High visibility and direct communication with frontline clinical staff; primary liaison between clinical departments and programs (admin, clinical etc) for telehealth service builds to promote ease
of patient care access and/or transfer back to local community .
- Works collaboratively as a virtual team member to support and strengthen clinical telehealth services locally and provincially, communicating through staff meetings, IT portfolio updates and
related workshops/info sessions via Insite.

Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Allied or related clinical health discipline; 5 yrs min experience in a diverse clinically focused, health care environment is required. Masters an asset.
Knowledge and skills:
- Ability to collaborate within a clinical team to build relationships that impart trust and respect for the clinical department and respective workload.
- Knowledge of health care system processes and related downstream department contributions required.
- Knowledge of guiding project management theories, learning principles, practices and processes.
- Ability to create a high visibility within the site/facility and extensive walking required.
- Knowledge of change management processes.
- Knowledge and application of adult learning principles.
- Knowledge of AHS IT and Telehealth policies and processes and AHS organizational structure.
- Knowlegde of videoconference/IT technologies to support clinical patient outreach.
- FMC knowledgable of clinical programs and tenants
