Medical - Therapist and Therapy Assistant

Reporting to the Adult Day Support Program Liason, the Recreation Therapy Aide prepares for client recreation programs, provides client programs and
assists with documentation and client assessment. The RTA helps to provides a safe, comfortable environment for the client and assists with clients when on outings.

Employee Class: Regular Part Time
Rates of Pay: Minimum: 15.72 per hour   Maximum: 18.60 per hour
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 required.
- Education and Recent experience in Recreation Therapy preferred.
- Experience working with seniors and /or experience in Adult Day Support preferred.
- Strong communication skills, ability to function as a team a player and a positive attitude is essential.
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
- Criminal records check is required at the time of hire.
- Driver's abstract and business Insurance required ( cost of business insurance will be reimbursed).
- Basic First Aide and CPR required.
- Computer skills, basic accounting and handling of petty cash is an asset.
- Food Safe course desired.
Please note this position is outside of Calgary city limits in Airdrie

$18.60/per hour
