Medical - Management and Business Professional-The Planner will work as a member of the Equipment Planning Team reporting directly to the Director of Technology/Equipment Planning and Sourcing. Taking the lead in project coordination through
the planning for and acquisition of clinical equipment, non-clinical equipment, and furnishings for Capital Project budgets, annual replacement budgets, donations and special funding. Working with
the Corporate Contracting Office, clinical and non-clinical staff, the equipment coordinator will develop detailed technical specifications for the tender of furnishings and equipment as well as
developing final purchase recommendations through a technical and clinical evaluation process. The Planner will develop written justification of the recommendations on behalf of the end users for
the Equipment Planning Director, Corporate Contracting Office, and Senior Administration advertising of budget, functional, operational, and human resources issues associated with the purchase
recommendations. The incumbent will work with furniture & equipment suppliers, contractors, and AHS Purchasing to ensure health care needs are met and to implement departmental policy directives
to ensure hospital needs and standards are maintained. Through the site Project Manager, works with all User groups, architects, engineers, and other consultants to ensure health care needs are met
and to implement departmental policy directives to ensure hospital needs and standards are maintained. Ensures good communication and acts as a liaison between building occupants and construction
personnel on equipment related issues in order to minimize patient care and other disruptions. Perform site inspections to ensure that proper dimensional allowances and services have been provided
for all installations.

Qualifications:
-A minimum of a diploma in Nursing, Biomedical Equipment Technology, Respiratory Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, Architectural Technology, other associated health technologies or a
mixture of applicable education and experience. Clinical and medical terminology as well of a minimum of 5 years related clinical technical or planning management experience is required. Excellent
communication and organizational skills are essential as well as a demonstrated ability with management of projects. Ability to problem solve with analytical reasoning. Intermediate to Advanced
skill level with Word Processing and Spreadsheet software programs. A valid driver's license is required
