Medical - Clerical and AdministrativeThe Clerk III position at the Endocrinology and Metabolism Program is pivotal in receiving and processing referrals and accompanying documentation,
scheduling patients, facilitating communication with patients, staff, physicians, other departments and providing other clerical support to the Centre, including staff scheduling and payroll. This
role is primarily to support redesign of the central access and triage process for the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism. Primary job duties include entry of patient information into Access
database and communication with physician offices re additional information. The clerk will work closely with the Clerk IV and Nurse Clinician coordinating this service

Rates of Pay: Minimum: 19.96 per hour Maximum: 23.19 per hour
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 diploma required.
- Successful completion of a recognized Unit Clerk/Medical Office Assistant course or equivalent training/experience
- 2 years recent experience in a role that coordinates clinic visits and scheduling of procedures/tests preferred
- Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology.
- Ability to communicate effectively with others, both verbally (in person and on the phone) and in writing
- Well developed interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize work and effectively cope with frequent interruptions, noise and distractions
- Ability to multitask
- Demonstrates initiative, flexibility and ability to work independently or as a team member
- Computer skills essentia
