The Foothills Medical Centre is an Acute Care hospital with over 900 beds. It is also the Trauma Centre for Southern Alberta, Eastern British Columbia and Western Saskatchewan. FMC has a Neuro
Tertiary Unit as well as the majority of In Patient Neurological services in Calgary.
The Allied Health Department works collaboratively with all the clinical teams spread across the whole campus of the Foothills Medical Centre, including the upcoming opening of the new McCaig Tower
which will house state of the art ICU and Operating Rooms.
All staff hired into the Allied Health Department may be required to work in a variety of settings across the Campus.
The present caseload for this position is in Acute Neuro this may be subject to change based on operational considerations. Under general supervision from the Clinical Leader and Allied Health
Supervisors, this position is responsible for the assessment of patients referred to the service as well as development, implementation and evaluation of individual treatment programs according to
professional practice standards.
This position is physically demanding and requires repetitive lifting and transferring of patients and or equipment.

Rates of Pay: Minimum: 32.73 per hour Maximum: 43.55 per hour
Qualifications:
- Baccalaureate or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy
- Current registration with ACOT
- CPR required - BLS for Health Care Providers Level C
- Experience in mental health required
- Must demonstrate an ability to work effectively on a multidisciplinary team
- Must demonstrate an ability to provide clinical service within a continually changing health care environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills require
