Registered Nurse- Combined Position Short Stay Surgery Unit & Unit 4

Join our teams and develop your pediatric surgical skills while working in a supportive learning environment.  The successful candidate will gain
experience in Short Stay Surgery Unit where nursing care is provided to same day and short stay surgery patients.  Nursing care includes assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation within a
fast paced, dynamic teaching environment.
The successful candidate will gain experience on Unit 4 with a focus in surgical/medical nursing including, but not limited to, orthopedics, general trauma, surgery, metabolics, diabetes and eating
disorders.

Employee Class: Regular Part Time
Rates of Pay: Minimum: 32.34 per hour   Maximum: 42.45 per hour
Qualifications:
- Current CARNA registration.
- Baccalaureate degree in Nursing preferred.
- BCLS required.
- PALS, ENPC, and TNCC an asset.
- Certification in IV initiation, CVC, IVAD's, Central Lines and blood glucose monitoring required.
- Current pediatric experience required.
- Charge nurse experience preferred.
- Capable of assuming Charge role required.
- Astute assessment skills required.
- Ability to perform consistently in a highly organized, rapid moving, complex environment.
- Demonstrates advanced problem solving skills integrating critical thinking and good judgment.
- Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrates communication skills promoting respect and team spirit in the workplace.
