Medical - Patient Care Support

Under general supervision of the Rural Inventory Coordinator/Supply Management, this position performs clerical and manual duties related to the
receiving and disbursement of hospital supplies, linen and equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Performs a variety of routine tasks associated with the transportation of materials within the Rural South Calgary Health Region, in accordance with Supply Management procedures. Duties involve,
checking clinical supply areas, ordering supplies from south regional warehouse; shipping and receiving, maintaining records as required, stocking shelves and performing cleaning duties within the
department as necessary; supply delivery to users.

Rates of Pay: Minimum: 18.95 per hour   Maximum: 20.57 per hour
Qualifications:
- Grade XII education required.
- Certificate of Training in the transportation of Dangerous Goods desired.
- Training in Workplace Hazardous Material Information Systems desired.
- Warehousing and material handling within a hospital setting is desired.
- Ability to read, write and comprehend English fluently is required.
- Knowledge and understanding of aseptic techniques required.
- Ability to perform basic accounting functions is required.
- Able to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and vendors required.
- Capable of producing detailed and accurate work.
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Must be capable of frequent heavy lifting and carrying of objects up to 40 kgs.
- Must be capable of pushing and pulling heavy carts up to an occasionally exceeding 275 kgs.
Please note this position is located outside of Calgary city limits. (45 km south of Calgary)

$20.57/per hour
