Lpn - Renal Dialysis

Practicing within the philosophy and guidelines of the Southern Alberta Renal Program,  the Licensed Practical Nurse works as a member of the health care
team, collaborating in the delivery of holistic, comprehensive care to meet the needs of individuals, families and/or communities.  Duties and responsibilities are within the The College of Licensed
Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) Dialysis Nursing Specialty scope of practice and in collaboration with the inter-professional team.
This position involves lifting and movements requiring fine motor skills (e.g. hand dexterity).

Employee Class: Temporary Part Time
Rates of Pay: Minimum: 22.95 per hour   Maximum: 30.01 per hour
Qualifications:
- Current CLPNA registration required.
- Completion of CLPNA IM/ID/Immunization courses required.
- Current BCLS certification required.
- Recent or current nephrology nursing experience preferred.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years medical/surgical experience preferred.
- Ability to work independently in a rapidly changing environment required.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Ability to maintain effective and respectful working relationships required.
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, organizational and assessment skills, and the ability to work effectively as a team player required.
- Ability to successfully complete the Specialized Clinical Competency of Hemodialysis required
