Medical - Clinical Manager, Educator and SpecialistThe Nurse Clinician is responsible for the coordination of a multi-disciplinary team and the provision of patient care in a specialty care area. The
roles assumed include clinical leader, resource person and role model.
The Sheldon Chumir Health Centre (SMC HC), located in downtown Calgary, offers a wide range of services including urgent care, mental health, public health, home care, specialty clinics and community
outreach.
The Urgent Care Centre (UCC) is open to the public 24 hours a day, seven days a week and provides care for unscheduled non-life threatening health conditions to a diverse population, as part of an
integrated community service delivery model.

Employee Class: Regular Part Time
Rates of Pay: Minimum: 33.43 per hour Maximum: 44.47 per hour
Qualifications:
- Current CARNA registration required.
- Baccalaureate in Nursing or equivalent health related degree is required.
- Advanced preparation in the area of urgent care or emergency nursing is desirable.
- BCLS certification required.
- ACLS certification required.
- Three to five years of recent experience in Urgent Care or Emergency nursing required.
- An established knowledge and experiential base in the delivery of care in an urgent care or emergency department setting.
- Leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to promote the change process.
- Application and promotion of problem solving and creative thinking.
- Ability to critique development of staff and provide meaningful feedback.
- Basic computer skills in word processing, email, internet access.
- Current experience working with SCM and REDIS is required.
- Recent charge experience in an Urgent Care Centre or an Emergency Department is required
