Licensed Practical Nurse (1827

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a key member of the Vaccination Service Team. This team provides vaccination services to children in schools and
community settings. The LPN works with the school team to plan, implement and evaluate the School Vaccination Services. LPNs also work to implement and evaluate vaccine programs for adults and
seniors such as influenza and pneumococcal. LPN responsibilities include preparation of records for school-aged children and delivery of vaccinations in the community environment. LPNs work in a team
inclusive of other LPNs, Vaccination Coordinators, public health nurses and clerks. This position reports to the Area and Care Manger at the Community Health Centre.

Rates of Pay: Minimum: 22.70 per hour   Maximum: 29.72 per hour
Qualifications:
- Current registration with the CLPNA.
- Current successful completion of BCLS required.
- Successful completion of a Licensed Practical Nurse Program.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a team member.
- Demonstrated initiative and strong communication skills.
- Experience working with children preferred.
- Experience working in a community setting preferred.
- Computer and data entry skills preferred.
- Demonstrated commitment to life-long learning.
- A valid Alberta driver's license/access to reliable vehicle required.
- Successful candidates will have completed or be required to complete the CLPNA self-learning modules including the Intramuscular and Intradermal Medication Course for LPNs and the Immunization
