Operations - GeneralThis role requires management of the Pipeline permits process for one or more major clients.
Key Responsibilities:
Administer the crossing database including design of new reports
Review permit conditions and recommend client audit or propose new wording
Prepare permit applications for crossings to be constructed
Review crossing designs (drawings) for compliance with code and regulatory conditions
Ensure compliance with project plan and procedures
Willingness to become familiar with corporate policies and procedures and ensure compliance with same
Preferred Skills/Experience:
Familiarity with Western Canadian land systems and jurisdictions
Familiarity with pipeline, oil & gas or road/utility construction
5 years of design permitting, construction experience.
Work in the land industry in Western Canada
Work in oil and gas transmission line operation companies
Experience with pipeline system design, construction, and operation
Familiar with CSA Z662 and ASME B31 series codes
Experience with Canadian jurisdictions and their various acts and regulations
Engineering Degree, Engineering Technologist Diploma, or Land Agent Certification in Alberta
Familiar with industry standard quality systems and principals
Genuine team player who will encourage teamwork with the project team and staff
High level of initiative and ability to complete tasks on schedule and budget
Excellent attention to detail
Good problem solving skills
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Ability to perform in a dynamic and fast paced environment
