MiscellaneousThe primary role for the Senior Civil Drafter is to prepare clear, accurate and complete drawings on schedule using practical design knowledge. The Senior Drafter is responsible for ensuring that timely, accurate and high quality drawings are produced for construction of Oil and Gas transmission and production facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply diversified knowledge of design principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields
Maintain drafting processes and procedures to follow and apply commonly used drafting concepts, practices, procedures and policies within the resource industry
Assist in the review of vendor and design drawings
Coordinate with Engineers, Designers and other disciplines
Follow all quality guidelines as set out in the Quality Assurance Manual while adhering to relevant Cimarron or client drawing standards
Ensure work is performed and completed in a safe manner
Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:
Minimum 6 years working experience in civil/structural drafting - primarily with concrete and steel
Excellent computer skills using 3D Auto CAD, cadworx, and exposure to other current software design programs
Work well in a team environment
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Diploma or certificate in Drafting or Engineering Technology from SAIT or equivalent
Ability to follow instructions, organize and prioritize work to meet scheduled deadlines
Solid understanding, knowledge and application of design criteria, codes, standard practices and design theory
