Medical - Licensed Practical NurseThe Licensed Practical Nurse works as a member of a health care team, collaborating on the delivery of care to meet the needs of patients. The LPN is responsible and accountable to the public for
his/her own practice, according to the standards defined by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). The LPN provides care to patients whose health condition and needs are well
defined and established, predictable with little fluctuation over time and localized and manageable. The LPN assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care of patients and work in consultation with
RN colleagues and others to meet the needs of more complex patients. In assigning care to the LPN the following are considered: patient/client factors, nurse factors such as competence, environmental
factors, Regional policies and job description.

Employee Class: Regular Part Time
Rates of Pay: Minimum: 21.72 per hour Maximum: 28.44 per hour
Qualifications:
- Graduate from an approved Practical Nurse program.
- Current active registration with C.L.P.N.A.
- Current successful completion of BCLS program is required.
- Previous experience is an asset.
- Demonstrated organizational skills and a commitment to collaborative teamwork.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Recent Acute Care experience caring for the surgical patient preferred.
- Professional and mature manner.
- Basic computer skills are an asset.
- Medication administration experience preferred
