Licensed Practical Nurse

In collaboration with the multidisciplinary health care team, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) practices within their full scope providing direct care
to Traumatic Spine Injured and Elective Spinal Surgical patients in the acute care phase. The LPN assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients, families and communities for the purpose
of promoting, maintaining or restoring health and preventing illness, injury and disability.

Rates of Pay: Minimum: 21.72 per hour   Maximum: 28.44 per hour
Qualifications:
- Active Practice Permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA) required.
- Current BCLS certification required.
- Recent experience in neuroscience nursing or acute medicine/surgery preferred.
- Demonstrates leadership and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrates effective time management and organizational skills.
- Demonstrates effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Demonstrates ability to work as a member of a team and to give, request and accept direction as required.
- Commitment to working within a dynamic healthcare team interested in advancing the care of spinal patients.
