  • “You” means the person who (or the entity on behalf of whom you are acting) that is agreeing to these Terms and Conditions.

Acceptable and Prohibited usage policy

Employers seeking employees or Job Marketing Services or SEO Job Postings, recruitment companies, and individuals seeking employment and career information may use Officejobs.com only for lawful purposes. You agree that you will use Officejobs.com for the sole purpose of sending and/or receiving content and materials that are proper and related to the purpose of Officejobs.com and its related sites. Communications or solicitations for business from our customers’ business by anyone is strictly prohibited.

You are in agreement to obey all global copyright laws while using Officejobs.com and are expected to prevent unauthorized copying of information. You also understand that your obligation to inform Officejobs.com of such approaches carries on for not less than 18 months from the end date of any assignment or placement within that company or an associated company. You also understand and agree that should you be an employer and you hire an Officejobs.com employee or Job Seeker, a fee will be charged in accordance with the Officejobs.com Fee Schedule.

The Employer hereby acknowledges that Officejobs.com Inc. has not necessarily performed an in-person interview with any Job Seeker on its website. Notwithstanding the clause below entitled “Employment Indemnity For Job Seekers”, the Employer further acknowledges that Officejobs.com Inc. may not have performed a background check on the Candidate nor called any of the references provided by the Candidate. All references provided to Officejobs.com Inc. in writing by the Candidate or directly from their employers are specifically not warranted to be true or correct. The Employer acknowledges that by using the services offered by Officejobs.com Inc. through its website, the Employer assumes all risk that the information provided by the Candidate, including information contained in the Candidate's references, is accurate and that the Candidate is qualified for the intended employment position with the Employer. The Employer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Officejobs.com Inc. from any action, cause of action, loss or damage arising from any representation or misrepresentation made by the Candidate or contained in the Candidate's references whether published in the Candidate's online profile or made by the Candidate during the interview process.

The Employer holds harmless Officejobs.com for any Job Posting, Job Marketing, or content placed on its sites, or any consequences that arise from that posting or marketing effort.

Terms For Job Marketing Postings

Your Job Marketing content may not contain URLs or links to Web sites, material that you do not have copyright for (unless you have permission to post the copyrighted material), material that violates the privacy or publicity rights of others, material that we may consider to be sexually explicit, obscene, libellous, defamatory, hateful or abusive. We may, at our sole discretion, review and remove any material we deem to be inappropriate or offensive.

You may not use your Documents to post advertisements or solicitations of business including, but not limited to, Email Processors, franchises, memberships, distributorships, or anything requiring a monetary investment by the User.

Your Document(s) must contain sufficient detail to convey clearly to the User the nature and requirements of the job opportunity. Job postings must be individual openings for traditional, full-time, part-time or contractual employment.

Employment Indemnity For Job Seekers

The Employee hereby acknowledges that all of the information provided by him or her with respect to the Candidate's employment history, including information contained in any references supplied by the Candidate, is true and accurate to the best of the Candidate's knowledge and belief. The Candidate further acknowledges that the Candidate has a positive obligation to correct any errors contained in the Candidate's online profile as soon as errors become known to the them. The Candidate agrees that it will indemnify Officejobs.com Inc. for any loss or damage, including solicitor and its own client fees arising from any action or cause of action advanced against Officejobs.com Inc. by an employer or any other third party arising from any misrepresentations made by the Candidate either in the Candidate's online profile or made verbally during an interview with an Employer. The Candidate further agrees that the Candidate will hold Officejobs.com Inc. harmless from any action or cause of action advanced against the Candidate arising from any representation or misrepresentation made by the Candidate on its online profile or made verbally during an interview with Officejobs.com or an Employer. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the Candidate acknowledges that it will not issue a Third Party Notice or a Counterclaim against Officejobs.com Inc. arising from any action advanced against the Candidate by an Employer based on a representation or misrepresentation as described above.

The Employee further hereby acknowledges that Officejobs.com Inc. has not necessarily performed an in-depth personal interview with an Employer and further has not conducted any investigation or research into the suitability of the Employer as an employer generally or with respect to the specific position for which the Candidate is being considered. The Candidate understands that Officejobs.com Inc. allows any Employer access to the Candidate's information, including the Candidate's existing employer or any other potential Employers with which the Candidate is pursuing employment opportunities, without limitation and the Employee confirms that the ultimate decision to accept an offer of employment from an Employer is entirely the Candidate's decision. The Candidate acknowledges that the Candidate has not been induced by any warranty or representation made by or on behalf of Officejobs.com Inc. with respect to the suitability of any employment opportunity offered through the use of the Officejobs.com website.

Officejobs.com is administered from its offices within Canada. Officejobs.com makes no representation or assurance that material within Officejobs.com is suitable or accessible for use at any location outside of Canada. If accessing Officejobs.com from outside of Canada, you are accountable for complying with any local laws. Any and all disputes arising form these Terms and Conditions, including enforcement, or validity, including the failure of all parties to reach agreement in matters outlined in these Terms and Conditions will be submitted to and settled privately and confidentially in binding arbitration before a single arbitrator held in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in English and governed by current Alberta law. The arbitrator shall be a person who is legally trained with appropriate industry experience in Canada and is independent from either party.

General

Excluding supplemental terms and conditions of Officejobs.com, a particular legal notice, or a further Agreement, these Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between Officejobs.com and you. A basis of action you may have with respect to your use of Officejobs.com must be commenced within one (1) year after the claim or basis of action arises.
