The business world is virtually exploded with bitter employees who hate their job and yearn for the day when they find better alternative.

But why should it be this way?

What leads to such hostility towards your workplace?

Here’s why lots of people can’t stand their job:

Lack of Interest

Many people have extremely boring jobs.

When your line of work offers no interest or challenge, it quickly turns into a nightmare and the only thing that really interests you is when will the work day finally end and you’ll be able to go home and do the things you truly enjoy.

Too Hard

Some jobs are simply too demanding and hard, especially when it comes to physical labor.

When you’re required to make massive physical efforts on a daily basis, it can definitely take a toll and grind you down.

Too Much Pressure

Lots of people have to deal with a massive amount of pressure on their jobs.

This pressure comes in many forms, such as tight deadlines, over-demanding bosses, strict workplace regulations, exaggerated expectations, etc.

Being Underpaid

It’s very common for employees to feel that they’re being underpaid, used and underestimated.

When there’s a major gap between how a person sees himself, his value, his contribution to the company and his financial needs to the actual number that appears on his paycheck - it leads to a lot of bitterness.

Poor Working Environment

A lot of employees work under poor conditions, in terms of safety, comfort, space, aesthetics, lighting, sanitation or temperature.

When this is the environment in which you spend so many hours per day, it’s a bit difficult to truly love your job.

No Promotion

When someone has had the same position for years (especially if it’s a low level one) and they’re not being promoted, it creates a lot of disappointment and resentment.

People hate to be stuck in dead-end jobs and it reflects on their feelings towards the workplace.

Bad Treatment

Lots of employees suffer from bad treatment from their bosses.

There are a lot of managers who takes advantage of their employees, treat them rudely, unfairly and sometimes even abusively.

Lack of Choice

Some people work at a certain job simply because they had no other choice.

When you’re doing something only because you have to and not of your free own choice, you start hating it pretty fast.

Long Working Hours

We live in a competitive business world, which leads to longer working hours.

Employees are being demanded to put in more hours on the expense of their leisure time.

Feeling Insignificant

Some people feel as if they’re just a tiny and meaningless cog in a huge corporate machine.

They feel out of the loop, as if their opinion and beliefs don’t really matter or count.

Lack of Proper Appreciation

In some workplaces, even if you really excel at what you do and you’re doing an outstanding job, putting in long hours and putting your soul into your work, you’re still not being appreciated.

You don’t get to hear a good word, praise for your performance or feedback for your achievements and you end up feeling like a sucker.

Dreams vs. Reality

Almost every young person has aspirations, dreams and plans towards a future prosperous and exciting career.

When these dreams are shattered by the cruel reality of having an unfulfilling job, the road to hating your present job is pretty short.
